The Haymarket theatre (The Queen's theatre, renamed the King's theatre) opened in 1705 in London. It rivaled with Drury Lane and became the only London theatre in which Italian opera could be heard. Most of its musicians were foreigners coming to try their luck in London, amongst which were some of the greatest performers of the time, such as George Frideric Handel, Johann Christoph Pepusch, Giuseppe Sammartini, John Loeillet…First performance 2019. This programme will be recorderd on CD in 2019.
