The golden age of German Baroque

Baroque composers Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporary Georg Philip Telemann have been played in all eras and adapted to all kinds of instruments, from piano and marimba to guitar.

But do we know that these two composers also wrote for the lute and the viola da gamba, two magnificent and astonishing instruments that are little known today?
