Music in Rembrandt’s time
The Dutch Golden Age
Was Rembrandt a musician?
What music might he have known and heard?
La Rêveuse proposes a program at the crossroads of Renaissance and Baroque in 17th-century United Provinces, where music, nourished by English, Italian, French and German influences, offers a delicious blend of learned and popular music.
Program created in August 2023 at the Musée d’Art Moderne de l’Abbaye de Fontevraud, on the occasion of the Rembrandt en eaux-fortes exhibition.
